The Director of Development is responsible for ensuring the fiscal health and sustainability of Texas Hillel by leading, managing, and supervising the organization’s fundraising activities . This position reports directly to the Executive Director and plays a crucial role in advancing Texas Hillel’s mission to empower and support Jewish students at UT. In partnership with the Board of Directors, the Development Committee, and the Executive Director, the Director of Development will create and implement Texas Hillel’s development strategies and fundraising campaigns to achieve annual fundraising goals. The Director of Development is responsible for both short- and long-term fundraising strategies, with a particular focus on major gifts and endowment growth.
Texas Hillel at The University of Texas at Austin was founded in 1927 and has a long history of community service and programmatic innovation, serving approximately 3,000 Jewish students in the Austin area. The Topfer Center for Jewish Life at the Abe & Annie Seibel building was opened in 2006 and hosts a full array of award-winning student groups and events. Governed by a nationwide board of directors, Texas Hillel enjoys strong partnerships with the UT Austin campus and community organizations. Long recognized by Hillel International and The University of Texas at Austin for innovation, Texas Hillel is adjacent to the UT Austin campus and enjoys a strong partnership with UT and the wider Jewish community.
