Job summary

Diné College seeks a Director of Development and Alumni for the Office of Institutional Advancement at the Tsaile Campus. You will lead fundraising, alumni engagement, and donor relations to support the College's mission and Navajo Nation initiatives.

Reporting to the VP of Institutional Advancement, you will strategize annual giving, capital campaigns, and data-driven stewardship, supervise staff, manage budgets, and represent the College to major donors and partners across Diné College sites.

Qualifications

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for donor correspondence, proposals, and reporting.
  • Advanced knowledge of philanthropic trends, moves-management, and gift-range/campaign methodology.
  • Knowledge of budget processes for donor and alumni service and reporting.
  • Familiarity with funding structures of federal, tribal, and Navajo Nation philanthropy.

Responsibilities

  • Direct and refine a comprehensive fundraising plan including annual giving, major gifts, and alumni giving strategies.
  • Set goals for donor acquisition, upgrade, renewal, and stewardship; report outcomes to senior leadership.
  • Lead alumni engagement, maintain database integrity, and build alumni partnerships.
  • Represent the College to major donors, tribal enterprises, foundations, and Board of Regents; coordinate with leadership for campaigns.
  • Oversee data systems, campaign progress, and donor communications across channels.
