A leading microgrid solutions provider is seeking a Director of Development (Microgrids) to spearhead projects across the US and internationally. The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of experience in renewable energy project development, with expertise in microgrid solutions. Responsibilities include overseeing project development from inception to execution and ensuring compliance with all regulations.

Qualifications

• Experience taking microgrid BTM and FTM projects from greenfield through to NTP.
• 10+ years of experience developing traditional power generation, microgrids or renewables in the US.

Director of Development (Microgrids)

Kinekta is partnering with a microgrid provider for commercial, industrial and data center sectors to deploy microgrids that integrate battery storage and power generation for FTM and BTM solutions. They are searching for a Director of Development to lead their real estate, technical and business development across the US and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of microgrids, with a focus on BESS, natural gas and solar solutions from 5 to 75MW microgrids.
• Lead the development of projects from greenfield through to NTP.
• Oversee permitting, environmental compliance, due diligence and interconnection processes.
• Ability to determine the viability of projects throughout the projects.
• Build pipeline and source opportunities to provide this microgrid service.

Requirements

• Experience taking micrgorid BTM and FTM projects from greenfield through to NTP.
• 10+ years of experience developing traditional power generation, microgrids or renewables in the US.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Finance, or a related field.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
