SUMMARY

The Director of Development is responsible for planning, organizing and directing Axess Family Services fundraising, major gifts, planned giving, special events and special campaigns.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develop and execute Axess Family Services Annual Fundraising plan.
  • Develop and maintain ongoing relationships with major donors.
  • Build a planned giving program with a focus on deferred gifts.
  • Create and execute a strategy for a large, sustained base of annual individual donors.
  • Oversee the organization of special events
  • Maintain gift recognition programs.
  • Coordinate fundraising special events.
  • Work closely with the management team to focus on fundraising endeavors.
  • Make public appearances to share information about Axess Family Services.
  • Demonstrate professional conduct at all times.
  • Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Strong interpersonal and writing skills.
  • Skills to motivate staff, board members and other volunteers
  • Organized and exhibit follow through on tasks and goals
  • Reliable transportation
  • Ability to meet agency requirements for criminal background check
  • Ability to meet agency requirements for driving insurability
  • Valid, unrestricted State of Ohio driver’s license
  • 3 years’ experience in professional fundraising
LICENSES OR CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED
  • Valid, unrestricted State of Ohio driver’s license
COMPLIANCE

The noise level in the work environment is low to moderate. Stress level can be high at times.
