Job summary

NEADS Service Dogs is seeking a Director of Development to lead the next chapter of our fundraising growth in Princeton, MA. This role focuses on building relationships, growing revenue, leading a team, and expanding the lives transformed by Service Dogs.

Located in Princeton, MA, NEADS supports people with disabilities, veterans with PTSD, and others through service dogs. You will lead donor pipelines, major gifts, corporate partnerships, and engage boards and the CEO in fundraising efforts.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive fundraising leadership experience.
• Proven record of closing major gifts and achieving fundraising goals of $5 Million.
• Knows the Massachusetts/New England philanthropic landscape.
• Exceptional relationship builder and storyteller.
• Leads with emotional intelligence and develops high-performing teams.

This is more than a development position. It’s an opportunity to build relationships, grow revenue, lead a team, and directly expand the number of people whose lives can be transformed by a Service Dog.

Located in Princeton, MA, NEADS is a nationally recognized nonprofit that trains and provides Service Dogs for people with disabilities, veterans with PTSD, children with autism, and professionals in hospitals, courthouses, and educational settings.

What you'll lead:

• A growing donor pipeline and major gift strategy
• Corporate partnerships and sponsorships
• Board and CEO engagement in fundraising
• Expansion of NEADS' philanthropic relationships throughout Boston, Worcester & New England

We’re looking for someone who:

• Has 5+ years of progressive fundraising leadership experience
• Has a proven record of closing major gifts and achieving fundraising goals of $5 Million
• Knows the Massachusetts/New England philanthropic landscape
• Is an exceptional relationship builder and storyteller
• Leads with emotional intelligence and develops high-performing teams
• Uses data and Salesforce to drive fundraising decisions
• Is entrepreneurial, strategic, and willing to try something new
