Job summary

Soni is seeking a Senior Director of Development in Boston to partner with the CEO, Board, and program teams to drive fundraising strategy and grow major gifts.

You will lead campaigns, manage donor relationships across individuals, foundations, and corporations, oversee grants, and mentor a development team to advance the organization’s impact.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree or CFRE preferred.
• 7+ years nonprofit fundraising experience, including major gifts and grant development.
• Proven success securing philanthropic revenue from individuals, foundations, and corporations.
• Experience developing fundraising strategies and working with nonprofit boards.
• Strong relationship-building, communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with donor databases/CRM systems and fundraising analytics.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and mentor development staff and consultants.
• Collaborate across departments to align fundraising goals with organizational priorities.
• Provide fundraising and donor pipeline updates to the CEO and Board.
• Promote a strong culture of philanthropy and communicate organizational impact.

Key Responsibilities

Compensation: $150,000-160,000

Salary is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications.
