Base pay range

$85.00/hr - $110.00/hr

We’re looking for a forward-thinking Director of Design Systems and Delivery to join our remote team. This role is ideal for someone passionate about scalable design systems, efficient delivery, and creating exceptional customer experiences.

You’ll lead the creation and maintenance of design systems while ensuring seamless delivery across projects. Reporting to Variate’s Head of Client Operations, you’ll have the chance to innovate, collaborate, and shape the future of design.

Candidates in the EST time zone are preferred, but we welcome talent nationwide. Must be US-based. We'd love to hear from you if you’re ready to tackle complex design challenges and elevate customer experiences.

Who We Are Looking For

• 6+ years in design, UX, interaction, or product design, with a focus on delivery and design systems.
• 3+ years of leadership experience managing teams and delivery processes.
• Proven ability to maintain delivery calendars and ensure high-quality handoffs.
• Expertise in design systems, accessibility standards (WCAG), and ADA reviews.
• Skilled in content guidelines, troubleshooting, and delivery handoffs.
• Proficiency with Figma and strong communication skills

Week-to-Week

• 15 hrs a week attending coordination and delivery meetings
• 25 hrs researching, planning and implementing new solutions to improve our design delivery process with tools and process workflow enhancements
