LHH is seeking an experienced engineering leader to build and direct a global organization focused on development platforms, workflows, automation, tool governance, and productivity. You will oversee worldwide teams ensuring production readiness, reliability, and continuous improvement across multiple product families.

Responsibilities include strategy, roadmaps, and partnerships with internal groups and external suppliers to maximize ROI and drive innovation.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced engineering leader to establish and lead a global organization focused on development platforms, technical workflows, process enablement, automation, tool governance, operational support, and workforce productivity. This role provides strategic and technical leadership across the full product development lifecycle, from technology introduction through production readiness and ongoing support.

The successful candidate will oversee worldwide teams supporting a broad portfolio of advanced technologies and product platforms. This role requires a unique combination of technical depth, organizational leadership, external partnership management, operational excellence, and commercial insight.

This individual will define long-term strategies for development environments, engineering systems, process automation, digital transformation, and productivity enhancement initiatives that enable scalable growth and innovation across the organization.

What You'll Do:
Engineering Strategy & Organizational Leadership
  • Define and execute a global strategy for engineering infrastructure, workflow optimization, and productivity.
  • Develop long-term roadmaps for development environments, process automation, digital transformation, and intelligent productivity solutions.
  • Establish high-performing engineering ecosystems that support multiple technologies, product families, and business needs.
  • Partner with engineering, technology, and enterprise services teams to align investments with organizational objectives.
Development Platforms & Infrastructure
  • Lead deployment, support, optimization, and governance of enterprise engineering environments.
  • Define and maintain standardized development workflows and operating practices.
  • Oversee computing resources, software ecosystems, and platform availability.
  • Drive consistency of processes and best practices across regions and business units.
Technology Enablement & Operational Excellence
  • Lead the development, maintenance, and continuous improvement of technical resources required to support product development.
  • Build scalable frameworks that accelerate adoption of new technologies and capabilities.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure successful implementation of future initiatives.
Automation, Data & AI
  • Lead development of automation solutions that improve operational efficiency and quality.
  • Drive adoption of advanced analytics, intelligent systems, and emerging technologies to enhance organizational productivity.
  • Develop data-driven platforms that improve visibility, decision-making, and workflow efficiency.
  • Establish continuous validation and quality frameworks supporting scalable execution.
Strategic Partnerships & Commercial Management
  • Own relationships with key technology suppliers and strategic ecosystem partners.
  • Negotiate enterprise-wide commercial agreements, support contracts, and service arrangements.
  • Manage annual investments and budgets supporting engineering operations.
  • Drive optimization initiatives that maximize utilization and return on investment.
  • Serve as the executive point of contact for strategic escalations and long-term planning discussions.
  • Lead a worldwide organization of technical specialists, platform experts, and automation teams.
  • Build and scale a high-performing global engineering organization.
  • Develop talent, leadership pipelines, career growth frameworks, and succession plans.
  • Manage distributed teams, contractors, consultants, and external partners.
  • Establish and monitor metrics that measure operational effectiveness, service quality, productivity, and utilization.
Who You Are
  • 15+ years of experience leading engineering systems, development infrastructure, process enablement, automation, or related technical functions.
  • 10+ years of experience managing global engineering organizations.
  • Proven success leading large-scale technical operations and productivity initiatives.
  • Demonstrated experience managing significant operational budgets, supplier relationships, and enterprise agreements.
  • Strong track record of driving organizational transformation through automation, modernization, and process improvement.
