Forsyth Technical Community College seeks a Director of Dental Care to lead the Dental Hygiene and Dental Assisting programs and the on-campus clinic. You will drive accreditation readiness, curricula development, and patient-care quality. Teaching may occur to support health sciences leadership.

The role oversees clinic operations, budget management, and community partnerships, advancing student success and program integrity across the college's health sciences offerings.

Qualifications

• Must have a current NC Dental Hygiene license, Dental Assisting license, or Dental license (DDS/DMD) or eligibility within 6 months.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in dental education, dental practice, or clinic management.
• At least 3 years in a leadership or administrative role.
• Experience with program development and accreditation processes (CODA preferred).
• Knowledge of dental hygiene and assisting education trends and best practices.

Responsabilités

• Lead Dental Hygiene and Dental Assisting programs to align with accreditation standards and college goals.
• Develop and evaluate curricula and educational practices to promote student success.
• Continuously improve programs using faculty, student, and industry feedback.
• Oversee the Dental Clinic Manager and daily clinic operations, ensuring compliance and infection control.
• Manage program and clinic budgets; explore grants and funding sources.
• Prepare for site visits and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Support student advising, mentorship, and career development; recruit and retain students.
• Build partnerships with local dental practices and organizations; organize community outreach.
• Track metrics and prepare reports for stakeholders.
