The Director of Data Warehouse & Business Intelligence is a hands-on data leader responsible for enterprise data warehouse, integration, master data, and business intelligence capabilities. Reporting to the Vice President of Corporate Applications, this role owns the data warehouse, data integration and master data platform, and the business intelligence reporting layer that support NetSuite, Salesforce, and the roughly 25 additional line-of-business operating systems ("OS's") used across our services operations.

• Data Strategy & Architecture Leadership
• Own the strategy, architecture, and roadmap for enterprise data warehouse, integration, and business intelligence platforms, in partnership with the VP of Corporate Applications
• Drive completion of the enterprise data warehouse rollout, prioritizing across a backlog of business unit needs in a fast-moving environment
• Translate business requirements from Finance, Business Operations, Sales, and other business units into a coherent enterprise data architecture
• Establish data governance, data quality, and data stewardship standards across the organization's 25+ source systems
• Data Warehouse & Data Lake Modernization
• Own and continue to mature the existing SQL Server star-schema data warehouse, hosted on Azure, while planning its evolution
• Lead the transformation of traditional data warehouse toward modern data lake / lakehouse architecture, evaluating platforms such as Azure Synapse, Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, Snowflake, or similar
• Balance near-term delivery on the current SQL Server platform with a longer-term modernization roadmap, sequencing the transition to minimize business disruption
• Ensure the data platform architecture scales with data volume, source system growth, and increasing analytical demand
• Integration & Master Data Management
• Own the Boomi integration platform strategy, overseeing connections between NetSuite, Salesforce, and the ~25 additional operating systems used across the business
• Oversee the Boomi Data Hub merge/match processes that produce goldenized, "master" records, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and trust in core data domains (e.g., customer, vendor, matter)
• Establish standards and processes for data integration, master data management, and metadata/lineage documentation
• Partner with system owners across the business to onboard new and existing operating systems into the enterprise integration and MDM framework
• Business Intelligence & Analytics
• Own the Power BI platform strategy, including semantic models, dataset governance, licensing, and self-service enablement
• Partner with business unit leaders to translate reporting and analytics needs into scalable, reusable BI solutions
• Establish standard for report and dashboard development, performance, security, and reuse across the organization
• Champion a culture of data-driven decision-making, expanding self-service analytics capability across business units
• Team Leadership & Offshore Management
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of approximately 9 (a mix of full-time employees based in India subsidiary and contract resources), building technical depth and career paths
• Build an effective operating cadence across time zones, ensuring strong collaboration, communication, and accountability between onshore and offshore team members
• Manage relationships with contractors and implementation partners, holding them accountable to scope, quality, and delivery timelines
• Establish clear prioritization, workload visibility, and delivery processes appropriate to a small, high-velocity team supporting a large and complex environment
• Stakeholder Engagement & Executive Communication
• Serve as the primary point of contact for business unit leaders on enterprise data, integration, and BI needs
• Regularly present data strategy, the data warehouse/data lake modernization roadmap, and key business insights to the Executive Leadership Team (ELT) and other senior stakeholders
• Build credibility and trust with executives, department heads, and individual contributors alike, translating technical concepts into clear business terms
• Partner with the VP of Corporate Applications and other IT leaders to align data initiatives with broader technology and business strategy

COMPETENCIES, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Hands-on leader who is comfortable moving between strategy and hands-on execution, particularly given the size of the team relative to the scope of the environment
• Deep, current expertise in SQL Server data warehousing: star-schema design, ETL/ELT development, performance tuning, and administration in an Azure-hosted environment
• Recent, hands-on experience leading the transformation of a traditional data warehouse to modern data lake or lakehouse architecture — not just conceptual familiarity
• Advanced Power BI expertise: data modeling, DAX, report and dashboard design, workspace governance, and self-service enablement at scale
• Experience with Boomi or a comparable integration platform (iPaaS), including data hub / master data management concepts such as merge/match and golden record creation
• Comfortable operating in a highly complex, still-maturing data environment with 25+ source systems, competing priorities, and evolving requirements
• Proven experience leading and developing offshore teams, ideally including experience managing India-based staff; skilled at building trust and consistency across time zones and cultures
• Strong executive presence and the ability to present confidently and credibly to the Executive Leadership Team (ELT) and other senior stakeholders
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills across all levels of the organization, from individual contributors to executives
• Experience integrating ERP (e.g., NetSuite) and CRM (e.g., Salesforce) data into enterprise reporting and analytics
• Strong vendor and contractor management skills, including consulting and systems integration partners supporting integration and BI initiatives
• Experience in legal, professional, or other complex, multi-system services businesses is a plus

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Management, or a related field; equivalent experience considered
• 8+ years of progressive experience in data warehousing, business intelligence, or enterprise data management, including at least 3 years in a leadership or program-ownership role
• Demonstrated experience leading or significantly contributing to a data warehouse modernization or data lake migration initiative
• Hands-on experience with SQL Server and Power BI required; experience with Boomi or a comparable integration/iPaaS platform strongly preferred
• Experience managing offshore or globally distributed teams, ideally including India-based resources
• Experience in professional services, legal services, or a similarly complex, multi-system business environment preferred
