Job summary

Figma is seeking a Director of AI Data Science to lead a team that shapes product strategy and measurement across AI initiatives. You will work with Product, Engineering, Design, and Research leadership to embed data-driven thinking in product development and evaluation of AI-powered agents.

The role is full-time and flexible to be based in a US hub or fully remote within the United States, with a strong emphasis on building scalable data platforms and governance.

Qualifications

• 8+ years managing and leading data science teams with at least 2 years managing other managers.
• 7+ years in AI, data science, or related field.
• Proven experience building or measuring AI products, ideally LLM-powered assistants/agents.

Responsibilities

• Lead, support, and grow a team of data scientists and data science managers with varied strengths and expertise.
• Champion data quality, accessibility, and democratization of data across the company.
• Establish trust within and across teams by creating accountability and a positive work environment.
• Partner with Product, Engineering, Design, Research, Sales, Marketing, or Finance to drive impact.
• Shape how we measure AI products: evals, quality, and experimentation for LLM-powered assistants and agents in partnership with AI Research.
