DriveTime Family of Brands is seeking an Assistant Director of Data Science to lead a team delivering predictive analytics, machine learning, and optimization solutions that inform strategic business decisions. You will guide model development, partner with IT and BI, and drive enterprise data initiatives with senior leadership.

The role requires strong communication, business acumen, and a track record of advancing analytics across a fast-paced organization.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in data science, ML, or advanced analytics.
• 2+ years of experience leading, managing, or mentoring analytics talent.
• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field such as Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Economics, Finance, CS, Physics or related.
• Advanced proficiency in Snowflake, SQL, and Python.

Responsibilities

• Advise Senior Leadership on data science solutions that enhance long-term strategies.
• Oversee the creation of machine learning models from design to implementation.
• Maintain relationships with academic and industry thought leaders for cutting-edge thinking.
• Collaborate with analytical leaders to fulfill strategic direction via data exploration and emerging tech.
• Partner with enterprise analytics and IT to build DriveTime’s core capabilities.
• Identify resource needs including IT investments and third-party support.
• Understand business direction to recommend data-driven solutions for decision makers.
• Direct design and construction of large, complex datasets for analytics.
• Build and lead a high-performing team of data science experts.
