Job summary

Qualifications

• Demonstrated expertise in Student Counseling and Psychology, with the ability to address a wide range of academic, personal, and social concerns.
• Experience in Clinical Supervision, including mentoring, overseeing casework, and supporting professional development of counseling staff or interns.
• Proven ability in Program Development and Mental Health initiatives, such as workshops, outreach, and prevention programs that support student wellness.
• Relevant advanced degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or a closely related field; licensure or eligibility for licensure as a mental health professional in Texas is strongly preferred.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills, with the capacity to work collaboratively in a faith-informed academic environment and maintain confidentiality and ethical standards.
• Previous leadership experience in a university or educational counseling setting and familiarity with best practices in college student mental health are highly beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee daily operations of the university's counseling center and ensure service delivery aligns with professional and institutional standards.
• Provide individual and group counseling, crisis intervention, and mental health assessments for a diverse student population.
