Job summary

FTI Consulting is seeking a Director for Corporate Positioning & Insights in New York. You will design and execute multi‑stakeholder campaigns, protect and promote client licenses to operate, and roll onto event‑driven engagements such as IPOs and M&A.

The role requires strong project management and strategic communications skills. You’ll interact with client companies, develop integrated strategies, and craft messaging and content across channels.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of post‑graduate professional experience in communications or equivalent
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in English, Journalism, Corporate Communications or related field
• Ability to travel to clients and offices as needed
• Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States on a full‑time basis; visa sponsorship is not offered

Responsibilities

• Develop integrated communication strategies aligned with client objectives across owned, earned, shared and paid channels
• Serve as day‑to‑day client contact and ensure high quality work through leadership
• Lead project management, assign and coordinate tasks across team members
• Build and nurture strong media contacts and conduct outreach on behalf of clients
• Write and edit memos, press releases, presentations, emails, pitches and web content
• Use digital media intelligence tools to derive insights and influence strategy
• Assist in preparing new business presentations and pitch potential clients
• Counsel clients on industry and market developments
• Develop accurate project budgets and support billing procedures
• Support development and promotion of firm thought leadership on emerging trends
• Mentor consultants and senior consultants to support their development
