Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Director of Contracts Expeditionary Diplomacy and Supply Chain for Mission Solutions. You will guide end-to-end contract lifecycle from capture to closeout, oversee a contracts team, and partner with Growth, Program Management, Operations, and Legal to win work and manage risk in regulated environments.

Required: 10+ years in government and commercial contracts, strong negotiation and leadership, and FAR/DFARS proficiency. Travel up to 25%; hybrid work arrangement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Law, Supply Chain or related field required.
• 10+ years in contracts management within U.S. defense/government and commercial contracting.
• Experience leading contracts teams and achieving KPIs (compliance, win rates, cycle times).
• Deep knowledge of FAR, DFARS, export controls, and cybersecurity contracting rules.
• Ability to obtain/maintain a U.S. government security clearance.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% and work in a hybrid environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead pre-award capture and proposal development (RFP/RFQ analysis, risk assessments, pricing guidance).
• Negotiate prime and subcontract terms with government and commercial clients.
• Oversee post-award administration, changes, performance monitoring and closeout.
• Manage subcontract strategy, sourcing, flow-downs, and performance.
• Ensure regulatory compliance with FAR/DFARS, ITAR/EAR, CPSR readiness.
• Provide senior leadership, reporting, and KPI-driven portfolio management.
