Brief Job Description:
The Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) Access and Eligibility Services (AES) department is looking for individuals to join an exciting and dynamic team working in a high-performing and innovative environment. Under the supervision of Access and Eligibility Services (AES) Finance Operations (FO) leadership, the Director II performs highly advanced (senior level) managerial work for contract financial operations. The Director II will be responsible for directing and providing strategic guidance to the finance team supporting AES grants and contracts. Work involves administering financial processes and systems; reviewing, analyzing, and evaluating financial data; preparing reports and responding to inquiries; and recommending and approving appropriate action to resolve financial issues. Supervises the work of others. Works under minimal supervision, with extensive latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.

Minimum Qualifications:
Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major coursework in accounting, business administration, finance, economics, or a related field is required. Experience and education may be substituted for one another. At least 3 years of experience in accounting, contracts, auditing, budgeting, or finance. A minimum of 2 years in a managerial, supervisory, or equivalent role is required.
