Job summary

AIMRIGHT is seeking a CMT Director in Tulsa to oversee field and laboratory testing operations, uphold safety and quality, and ensure client satisfaction. This leadership role reports to the COO and drives performance across the testing and engineering teams.

You will manage budgets, scheduling, and proposals, develop staff through training and certifications, and monitor gross margins while maintaining compliance in a fast‑paced construction materials testing environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of construction leadership experience.
• Strong organizational, scheduling, and client-relations skills.
• High School Diploma required.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean MVR.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage, and hold accountable all field and lab personnel.
• Oversee estimating, proposals, scheduling, quality control, reporting, and client satisfaction.
• Manage budgets, profitability, and resource allocation to ensure sustainable growth.
• Promote and enforce a culture of safety across field and lab operations.
• Oversee daily operations of the materials testing lab to maintain compliance and accuracy.
• Develop and support Field/Lab staff through training, certifications, and career advancement.
• Monitor and improve gross margins across Field and Lab operations.

Job Description

We are seeking a CMT Director to join our growing team. This role is a leadership position responsible for overseeing field and laboratory testing operations while ensuring safety, quality, and client satisfaction.

Primary Responsibilities

• Leadership & Management (LMA): Lead, manage, and hold accountable all field and lab personnel.
• Department Management: Oversee estimating, proposals, scheduling, quality control, reporting, and client satisfaction.
• P&L Ownership: Manage budgets, profitability, and resource allocation to ensure sustainable growth.
• Safety Leadership: Promote and enforce a culture of safety across field and lab operations.
• Laboratory Management: Oversee daily operations of the materials testing lab to maintain compliance and accuracy.
• Training & Certifications: Develop and support Field/Lab staff through training, certifications, and career advancement.
• Performance Metrics: Monitor and improve gross margins (GM%) across Field and Lab operations.

Required Qualifications

• Proven leadership and project management experience in construction or a related industry.
• Strong organizational, scheduling, and client-relations skills.
• High School Diploma plus a minimum of 5 years of construction leadership experience.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean MVR.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States.

Preferred Qualifications

• Five (8) years of experience managing a combination of the following services:
  • Sampling and testing of concrete/mortar/grout in field and laboratory settings
  • Reinforcing steel inspections (footings, drilled shafts, slabs, decks, walls, columns, etc.)
  • Soils sampling, field density testing, and laboratory testing
  • Proof-rolling observations
  • Foundation bearing grade observations
  • Drilled shaft inspections
• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction, Geology, or related field.
• Professional Engineer (P.E.), Engineer Intern (E.I.), or NICET, ACI, ICC, or ODOT certifications.
• However, we will train the right applicant with proven leadership and construction project management experience.
