Job summary

Brooks & Nelson, LLC client seeks a Construction Director to lead the owner-side construction efforts on a major project. You will translate engineering and procurement deliverables into executable field work, oversee safety, quality, and schedule, and drive coordination across engineering, procurement, and construction teams.

In this senior role, you will establish the construction organization, manage budgets, review contractor plans, and ensure readiness for commissioning and turnover.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Mining Engineering, or related technical discipline preferred.
• Typically 15+ years of construction and project delivery experience with leadership responsibility on major capital projects.
• Experience managing schedules, budgets, productivity, forecasts, changes, claims, and contractor performance.
• Knowledge of construction codes, standards, permitting, quality systems, and HSE practices.
• Strong CPM scheduling and project controls knowledge; capable of managing multiple contractors and interfaces.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for construction execution across the project and ensure safety, quality, and schedule adherence.
• Develop and implement Construction Execution Plan, sequencing, site logistics, and constructability strategies.
• Establish construction organization, staffing, reporting, and field management processes.
• Direct activities across underground development, heavy civil, mechanical, piping, electrical, and infrastructure.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Procurement, and Project Controls to align scope, cost, and schedule.
• Drive timely resolution of issues, manage changes, and maintain execution momentum.
• Lead turnover, commissioning planning, and readiness for operation.
