Our client, a leading general contractor in the data center space provide end-to-end services such as: design, construction, operations, etc for Fortune 500 clients.

Job description

The Director is responsible for project management and leadership for the Central market. This shall include, but not be limited to site management and leadership for individual buildings + full projects, including coordinating subcontractors, material and equipment, ensuring that specifications are being strictly followed, and work is proceeding on schedule and within budget.

Responsibilities
  • Support general leadership of the market
  • Lead data center campus’ teams
  • Provide hands on management support for individual projects
  • Manage overall budgets and corresponding subcontractor/vendor/consultant budgets
  • Manage overall schedules
  • Schedule subcontractors, consultants, and vendors to ensure timely completion
  • Perform quality control duties and responsibilities regarding the work being performed
  • Ensure that subcontractor is fully executing and complying with the contracted scope of work
  • Coordinate required inspections with local jurisdictions
  • Identify subcontractor non-compliance with safety, health, and environmental quality standards
  • Identify conflicts in construction progress and communicate them to project team for resolution
  • Maintain daily log (written) of activities on the jobsite
  • May perform Field Superintendent duties at multiple job sites, simultaneously
Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience, required
  • 7+ years Construction experience, required
  • 3+ years Data Center experience,
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (specifically Excel and Project)
  • Yardi, Procor and Prolog experience
