Job summary

DC BLOX is seeking a Director of Data Center Community Relations to act as the company’s local ambassador in communities where data centers are planned or operating. You will build trust, communicate project visions, and maintain evenhanded dialogue with government leaders, schools, media, and residents throughout development, construction, and operation.

You will plan town hall and public meetings, align company teams to address local needs, answer questions, and report on community sentiment

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years in community relations, public affairs, or stakeholder engagement.
• Proven ability to build relationships with government officials and media.
• Strong public speaking, facilitation, and presentation skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholder groups and navigate public issues.

Responsibilities

• Community Relations: Serve as the primary contact between the company and the local community.
• Public Engagement: Plan, organize, and participate in town hall meetings and stakeholder events.
• Media and Public Communications: Establish relationships with local media and serve as a spokesperson as needed.
• Market Intelligence and Stakeholder Monitoring: Track local sentiment, political developments, and economic trends.
• Community Investment and Sponsorship Management: Build relationships with nonprofits and manage sponsorship programs.
