Qualifications

Pay Range

This range is provided by Fathers & Families Support Center. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more.

Base pay range: $60,000.00/hr - $70,000.00/hr

Position Details
  • Title: Director of Community Outreach
  • Reports To: Employment Director/COO
  • Direct Reports: Volunteers, Mentors, DOJ Staff
  • Job Status: Full-Time / Exempt
Role Description

Responsible for establishing and maintaining relationships with community organizations, state and local political leadership, institutions, and agencies to further develop the vision, mission, and values of the organization.

Responsibilities
  1. Facilitate off-site training programs per contractual obligations or as assigned.
  2. Establish and maintain partnerships with Department of Justice connections and initiatives.
  3. Work with re-entry population in Department of Corrections facilities.
  4. Prepare and submit records and data for outreach programs.
  5. Attend community fairs.
  6. Develop relationships with community organizations, political leaders, institutions, and agencies.
  7. Seek opportunities to expand services of the Father’s Rap.
  8. Plan and implement outreach strategies supporting FUTRA’s mission.
  9. Collaborate on outreach goals with the executive team.
  10. Submit monthly reports.
  11. Provide directives to staff as determined by leadership.
  12. Perform Legal Clinic intakes.
  13. Travel as needed.
Qualifications
  • Empathy for clients and commitment to FFSC’s goals.
  • Understanding of NASW code of ethics.
  • Knowledge of laws and legislation affecting fathers.
  • Ability to utilize community resources effectively.
  • Team-oriented and independent work skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
Educational & Experience Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; Master’s preferred.
  • Experience working with men, women, reentry population, and justice systems.
  • Valid Missouri driver’s license and reliable vehicle.
