Job summary

Inova Health System in Northern Virginia seeks a Director of Community Health to lead the Community Health Needs Assessment every three years, translate data into action, and build enduring partnerships with nonprofits, schools and community groups.

This role represents Inova at community events, drives implementation strategies to improve access, outcomes and trust, and chairs cross‑sector collaborations to expand programs for underserved youth and families.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• At least 2 years of healthcare management or related leadership experience.
• Experience with community health needs assessment preferred.
• Ability to build partnerships and represent the organization publicly.

Responsibilities

• Lead the CHNA process every three years, including data collection and presentation of findings.
• Gather and interpret data from county, regional and state sources to identify priorities.
• Translate findings into actionable community health strategies and measurable outcomes.
• Move from assessment to action by operationalizing priorities across programs.
• Build and maintain relationships with nonprofits, schools, and external partners.
• Represent Inova at community meetings and partnership forums.
• Lead the Community Action Committee and cross-sector collaboration.
• Oversee initiatives expanding access and connecting underserved youth and families to care.
• Support Dream Big and related school/community partnerships.
• Promote Inova’s community health strategies both internally and externally.
