The Connor Group seeks a high-performing Director of Communications to strengthen internal messaging and lift external PR efforts. This leader will drive clarity and alignment across platforms, and translate business priorities into compelling communications for executives and associates.

Ideal candidate blends strategic vision with hands-on execution, thrives in a fast-paced private real estate investment firm, and builds scalable systems to measure impact and engagement across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, or related field.
• 6-8+ years of advanced communications leadership experience in corporate or enterprise settings.
• Expertise in internal communications, storytelling, and executive messaging.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication; ability to simplify complex ideas.
• Experience developing strategies that protect and enhance organizational reputation.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and project management tools like Smartsheet.
• Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite and PR/media platforms is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Lead company-wide communication strategy across our app broadcasts, memos, and video.
• Create clear, engaging communications for associates and residents, including reports, memos, and executive messages.
• Drive engagement through storytelling that connects associates to our mission, culture, and performance goals.
• Build systems to measure communication effectiveness and ensure associates are consistently “in the know.”
• Anticipate communication needs during change management, acquisitions, and market transitions.
• Ensure consistent, disciplined messaging across public channels and platforms.
• Support and assist the VP of Communications with external communications and PR initiatives.
• Become a trusted advisor to the executive team.
• Coach and develop associates, raising performance standards.
• Build scalable systems and playbooks to expand the department’s impact.
• Translate business priorities into communication strategies that drive accountability, alignment, and results.
