Job summary

Hearing Loss Association of America (HLAA) in McLean, VA, seeks a Technology Manager to lead HLAA’s work at the intersection of communication access technology, standards, policy, and consumer education. This role advances real-world user experiences within standards and advocacy.

The manager will collaborate with the Director of Communications and Marketing and other department leaders, represent HLAA nationally, and guide vendor-neutral technology information for people with hearing loss.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in audiology, public health, public policy, communications, education, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5-7 years of progressively responsible experience in hearing technology, accessibility, advocacy, or related fields.

Responsibilities

• Lead HLAA’s technology strategy and guide its implementation across departments.
• Coordinate technology initiatives with Public Policy, Development, Communications, and Chapter Engagement.
• Represent HLAA externally in national forums, professional meetings, and industry events.
• Provide strategic leadership for ICAAT program and strengthen its impact.
• Develop and curate consumer-facing technology education materials and webinars.
• Serve as internal resource on communication access technologies for staff.
