Oceans Behavioral Hospital Permian Basin is seeking a Director of Clinical Services (LCSW preferred) to supervise social services and therapy for adults and seniors. You will oversee discharge planning and ensure adherence to Joint Commission, federal and state guidelines.

The Director of Clinical Services (LCSW preferred) is responsible for supervision of the social services necessary to meet the legal, organizational, medical staff and regulatory agency guidelines. Supervises therapy services, case management, education and discharge planning. Provides guidance and supervision of other social workers, therapists and interns. All duties to be done in accordance with Joint Commission, Federal and State regulations, Oceans', policies and procedures and Performance Improvement Standards.
Must have appopriate licensure by state; LCSW in Louisiana; LCSW or LMSW in Mississippi, Oklahoma, and Texas.
Excellent assertive communication skills. A sound leader who possesses excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster cooperation across departmental lines and manage information, environmental and fiscal resources to accomplish goals. Good writing and composition skills. Able to organize and prioritize high volume workload. Able to function with minimal supervision. Therapeutic Intervention De-escalation Education required. Ability to maintain overall good work attitude and interact cooperatively and professionally with other staff members. Basic competency in age/disability/cultural diversity needs of patients served and ability to relate to patients in a manner sensitive to those needs.
Subject to many interruptions. Pressure due to multiple calls and inquiries. Can be high paced and stressful; must be able to cope mentally and physically to atmosphere. May experience disagreeable odors, sights and/or unpredictable patient behavior. Requires spending approximately 85% or more of the time inside a building, which offers protection.
