Job summary

Lifepoint Behavioral Health seeks a Director of Clinical Operations - Behavioral Health at Jefferson Regional Specialty Hospital to lead inpatient and outpatient behavioral health services, ensuring high-quality care and regulatory compliance.

This role reports to facility leadership, drives performance improvement, coordinates treatment teams, and oversees documentation, discharge planning, and program implementation across the campus.

Qualifications

• Inpatient psychiatric healthcare experience required.
• Current LCSW licensure is required.
• Master's Degree in Social Work from an accredited program is required.

How You'll Contribute

As a Director of Clinical Operations - Behavioral Health, you will provide strategic and operational leadership for behavioral health treatment across inpatient and outpatient settings. You will ensure the delivery of exceptional clinical care while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

You will serve as a key member of the facility leadership team, driving clinical excellence, regulatory compliance, staff development, and patient-care initiatives.

What You'll Do

• Responsible for oversight of all clinical treatment programs of patients receiving treatment for psychiatric, and substance abuse issues in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Assure that high-quality clinical care is provided and that clinical functions are integrated.
• Supervise individual and group counseling and develop and implement a variety of therapeutic treatment modalities/processes.
• Oversee discharge planning to ensure an optimal post-hospital transition.
• Responsible for ensuring that clinical documentation is current and accurate and meets all regulatory and other standards.
• Responsible for ensuring that company approved programs are implemented and being provided consistently.
• Provide oversight to the therapist and provide feedback through the performance evaluation process and, if necessary, through counseling.
• Ensure that all interventions (individual, group, and family therapy) are performed and documented according to professional clinical standards.
• Actively participate in survey activities (TJC, Medicare, and licensing).
• Coordinate performance improvement and completes monthly reporting.
• Attend treatment team meetings on a regular basis.
• Ensure that clarification of the therapeutic role and treatment plan with the patient and family is completed.
• Actively participate in the complaint resolution process as needed.
• Is responsible to collaborate with leadership team members related to hospital operations.

What We’re Looking For

Applicants should have a Master's Degree in Social Work. Additional requirements include:

• Previous experience in inpatient psychiatric healthcare required.
• A current unencumbered clinical social work license (LCSW) is required.
