**Responsibilities**
A collaborative system-wide quality approach is created to pro-actively address issues and work toward stated goals through the support and involvement of the Board of Directors, medical, nursing and other clinical discipline’s staff, leadership and associates. This atmosphere supports innovation, effective data management, performance improvement, proactive risk assessment, a commitment to a positive customer experience, and overall patient, associate and environmental safety.
Quality and Patient Safety systems objectives are to:
+ Organize operations to provide high quality, cost effective services.
+ Model leadership and teaming excellence by providing appropriate advice and counsel to staff to improve effectiveness.
+ Develop and implement policies and procedures that support the delivery of services to meet all productivity plans.
+ Coordinate and integrate services to meet contractual requirements.
+ Conduct ongoing assessments, maintain quality control programs, and improve departmental operations.
+ Direct staff. Manage departmental turnover while maintaining high employee and patient satisfaction.
+ Identify marketing and collaborative opportunities for the department.
+ Identify and monitor performance indicators which measure the functioning of important processes and organized services provided
+ Integrate performance improvement learnings into associate education, clinical practice guidelines, policy and procedure changes, adjustments to staffing patterns, methods of assuring clinical competence, changes in equipment or physical plant, and review and revision of the quality plan itself.
+ Plan and implement improvement-focused programs, reports, analyses, and work plans that enhance quality outcomes and patient safety.
**Requirements**
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
+ BLS Provider preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
+ Registered Nurse Licensure preferred. Required relevant to state in which work is performed.
Education:
+ High School diploma equivalency with 5 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required, with 2 of those years being in leadership/management OR Associate's degree/Bachelor's degree with 3 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required, with 2 of those years being in leadership/management.
**Additional Preferences**
**Preferred Credential(s):**
• BLS Provider. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Practical/Vocational Nurse.
• Registered Nurse.
