Job summary

Tide Health New England is seeking an experienced Director of Clinical Operations to support our skilled nursing facilities across Worcester County and the MetroWest region of Massachusetts. This full-time role offers a salary up to $175,000 with a $10,000 sign-on bonus and requires travel between assigned facilities.

The position oversees quality, safety and compliance of nursing operations, directs nursing and clinical staff, and acts as a key liaison among clinical departments,

Qualifications

  • Must possess an active and unencumbered RN license in Massachusetts.
  • Experience as Director of Nursing Services in a skilled nursing facility required.
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations pertaining to long-term care operations.
  • Regional experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid regulations, MDS/RAI processes, and state survey processes in a SNF environment.
  • Experience working with SUDS and behavioral populations preferred.
  • Must read, write, speak, and comprehend English.
  • Must possess reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the quality, safety, and compliance of all nursing operations; directing and developing nursing and clinical support staff; serving as a liaison between clinical departments, administration, and regulators.
  • Serve as a resource to facility staff on best clinical practices.
  • Conduct audits to ensure regulatory compliance with regulations, standards, and policies; ensure residents' care needs are met.
  • Participate in mock survey and annual survey processes.
  • Assist in hiring and training of Directors of Nursing and other nursing leadership positions.
  • Maintain oversight of all aspects of resident care to assess and ensure quality outcomes.
  • Monitor adherence to restorative nursing techniques, infection control, and medication management practices.
  • Act as a clinical resource and consultant for nursing staff on high-acuity cases.
  • Ensure timely, accurate, and complete documentation in accordance with standards.
  • Assist in development and implementation of policies and procedures; review quality indicators and QA programs.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Chief Nursing Officer.

  • Conduct ongoing audits to ensure compliance with regulations, standards, and policies and procedures to ensure residents' care needs are met.

  • Assist facility management in the areas of developing comprehensive plans of correction and education.

  • Assist in the development, coordination, and implementation of policies and procedures.

  • Review quality indicators and the quality assurance performance program.

  • Other duties as assigned by the Chief Nursing Officer.
