Job summary

RQ, LLC invites experienced civil engineering leaders to join as Director of Civil Engineering in Jacksonville, FL. You will guide the civil engineering department, oversee DoD projects, ensure design-bid-build and design-build processes, and mentor a diverse team of engineers and designers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering is required.
• Master's degree is preferred.
• Current Professional Engineer (P.E.) license is required.
• At least 15 years of experience in civil/site design, military or DoD-related infrastructure work preferred.
• Experience with industry-standard software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D, StormCAD, HEC-RAS, InfoDrainage, or equivalents.
• Familiarity with federal project delivery methods (DBB, DB, ECI) in compliance with FAR requirements.
• Knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations, codes, and permitting processes.
• Willingness to travel to project locations when required.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Civil Engineering Department in Jacksonville, guiding direction, performance, and growth of the team.
• Ensure successful execution of DoD projects and compliance with federal requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time and within budget.
