Seeking a skilled Director of Engineering to lead and expand our engineering teams in the growing triangle area of NC. Responsibilities include building and mentoring a talented team, driving land development projects from concept to completion, ensuring high-quality civil engineering designs, and meeting project schedules and client expectations. This role emphasizes operations and team management, excluding business development activities.

Essential Job Responsibilities

• Build and manage a team of civil engineers and designers, providing guidance throughout project lifecycles.
• Coordinate with clients and internal teams to oversee land development projects from conceptualization to completion.
• Implement quality control procedures for design accuracy and compliance.
• Lead the creation of civil engineering plans, including grading, stormwater management, utilities, roadways, and site layout. Review detailed analyses and calculations.
• Review, approve, and seal drawings, specifications, and reports prepared by the design team.
• Manage project technical quality, profitability, and schedules.
• Handle multiple small and large projects simultaneously.

Salary estimate starts at $140,000 per year, depending on skills and experience. Compensation may vary based on geographic location and individual qualifications.
