Director of Children’s and Family Ministries

Are you looking to serve children and families in a small city on the Gulf Coast? Look no further. First United Methodist Church of Corpus Christi, TX ( https://www.ccfumc.com/ ) is searching for a full-time Director of Children and Family Ministries to oversee the discipleship of children from ages 0 – 11 years as well as their parents. FUMC is a well-resourced church with a long history of children’s ministry. The primary role of the director is to help children and families experience Christ and His infinite love by collaborating with a team of volunteers. This person will be someone who can build on the connections already in place within the church as well as reach out into the surrounding community to build new connections with the unchurched and those beginning their faith journey.

FUMC is looking for an organized, creative individual who is not afraid to think outside the box and is able to work well within diverse populations. This person must have a deep grounding in their own Christian faith, preferably an understanding of United Methodist doctrine and practice, be a self-starter with a passion for ministry with children of all ages, and demonstrate skills in developing teams and leadership in others.
