Job summary

Madison College seeks a Director of Facilities Engineering and Maintenance to lead and oversee its facilities engineering and maintenance functions across eight locations in South Central Wisconsin. The role drives reliability, safety and long-term stewardship of campus infrastructure, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems.

The position reports to the Executive Vice President, Finance & Administration and directs maintenance personnel while advancing

Qualifications

• Leadership and/or managerial experience.
• Knowledge of facility management, maintenance and engineering operations.
• Strong budgeting and financial decision-making abilities.
• Ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and oversight of the District’s facilities engineering and maintenance functions.
• Manage departmental budgets and supervise maintenance personnel.
• Ensure compliance with building codes, regulatory requirements and safety standards.
• Lead institutional sustainability initiatives and long-range infrastructure strategies.
