Role Description

The Director of Cabinetry & Kitchen Design is a full-time, on-site role based in Lebanon, OH. This role oversees the end-to-end design process for cabinetry and kitchen projects, from concept through installation, ensuring alignment with client needs, budgets, and timelines. Day-to-day responsibilities include leading and mentoring a design team, reviewing and approving design concepts, and coordinating with sales, project management, and installation teams. The director will develop and maintain design standards, create and refine branded design guidelines, and ensure all plans and construction drawings meet code, quality, and manufacturing requirements. The role also involves meeting with clients, presenting design options, managing vendor relationships, and continuously improving design workflows and product offerings.

Qualifications

• Ability to lead and oversee Design Management activities, including team leadership, workflow optimization, and cross-functional collaboration.
• Experience with Branding in the context of kitchen and cabinetry lines, including creating cohesive visual identities and design guidelines.
• Background in Architecture or interior architecture, with strong understanding of spatial planning, building codes, and functional kitchen layouts.
• Proficiency in Product Design for cabinetry, fixtures, and related kitchen components, focusing on usability, aesthetics, and manufacturability.
• Competence in preparing, reviewing, and interpreting Construction Drawings and technical documentation for fabrication and installation.
• Strong skills with industry-standard design software (e.g., CAD tools, kitchen design software) and familiarity with material specifications.
• Excellent communication, client-facing, and presentation skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into clear recommendations.
• Demonstrated project management experience, including budgeting, scheduling, and coordination with contractors and vendors.
• Experience in cabinetry, kitchen design, or related construction/design industries is highly beneficial.
