Equify Financial is seeking an onsite Product Owner to drive the structure and success of core business applications in Fort Worth, TX. You will work closely with business units to translate needs into actionable requirements and solutions, owning outcomes from definition through testing and rollout.
The role emphasizes hands-on ownership, cross‑functional collaboration with engineers and vendors, and a strong focus on delivering measurable business impact while maintaining clear documentation
Company Information: Equify Financial is a privately-owned, independent specialty finance company based in Fort Worth, Texas. We tailor and personalize our services for each client to build a strong relationship and a strong future for their business. We are an independent, collateral-based lender that can service customers at every financial stage of their business. With over 180 years of combined experience in the equipment finance industry, we can provide an extensive amount of knowledge and an in-depth understanding of our customers' financial circumstances. We help our clients identify areas of growth and find creative solutions that bring more capital to their businesses.
We're building a modern technology stack to operate as a tech-forward lending business, connecting our core systems and building the custom interfaces, apps, and services our teams use every business day to underwrite, value, and service our portfolio.
This is an in-office role based at Equify's offices in Fort Worth, Texas. It is not eligible for remote or hybrid work.
Position Summary: This role owns how Equify's core business applications support the work of the company. It is a high-ownership position for someone who works closely with the business units rather than at a distance from them. You will be the point of contact when a process is not working, when a system will not do what a team needs, or when a new requirement has to be defined. You will establish what is actually being asked for, determine whether the answer is a fix, a configuration change, a process change, or something new to be built, document it clearly enough for an engineer or a vendor to act on, and stay accountable for it through testing, rollout, and results.
The role is structured around product ownership rather than oversight. You will own outcomes rather than a work queue: deciding what gets addressed and how, setting the order, and remaining accountable for whether the problem was actually resolved. The work is hands-on and is expected to stay that way, since understanding why a process is not working generally requires sitting with the team that runs it.
Equify's technology team is small and delivers through a combination of internal engineers and external partners. Work is defined internally before it reaches a vendor, which places this position at the center of how technology investment is spent. You will have meaningful authority over what work is taken on and in what order, and you will report directly to the CTO.
Equify operates on a connected set of core platforms covering origination, servicing, CRM, and accounting, supported by a data lakehouse. You will develop working knowledge of each, sufficient to distinguish a genuine system limitation from a business process that needs to change. Telling the two apart is a recurring and consequential part of the role.
Required Education, Experience, and Qualifications:
We're looking for someone who is:
Preferred: direct experience in equipment finance or specialty lending; experience with Salesforce, a major loan origination or servicing platform, Microsoft Dynamics Business Central, or a modern data platform such as Databricks.
