Unlock Surveys launched in 2024 as part of The Harris Poll’s and the Stagwell Marketing Cloud’s shared initiative for better proprietary data.

In the past year, we’ve recruited hundreds of thousands of verified and validated panelists across the US, Canada, and UK and provided insights for some of the world’s best researchers and brands inside and outside of the Stagwell family. We offer our clients traditional managed fieldwork services with around-the-clock project management support as well as API integrations. As we continue to invest in our panels, we’re looking to grow our team and build a new leader in the Market Research industry based on quality and reliability.

We are looking for an experienced and results-driven Director of Business Development to accelerate an ambitious growth agenda for our sample sales. You’ll be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, nurturing client relationships, and closing deals with market research firms, consultancies, and brand insights teams. This is a commission eligible role.

Responsibilities

  • Prospect and qualify leads via LinkedIn, email outreach, and industry events
  • Conduct client discovery calls and pitch customized sample solutions
  • Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation to contract closing
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships to encourage repeat business
  • Collaborate with operations and project management teams to ensure delivery success
  • Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets
  • Maintain records in CRM

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of B2B sales experience (preferably in Market Research or sample sales) and an existing network within the industry
  • Strong understanding of online panels, sample sourcing, and research methodology
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Self-starter with a proven track record of hitting or exceeding quotas
  • Familiarity with CRM tools and sales enablement platforms
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

Compensation

To comply with equal pay and salary transparency laws, we believe the target base compensation, in all locations within the United States, for this role is $75,000- $85,000 USD. Actual compensation will depend on factors such as skills and experience. This role is base + commission eligible.
