The Director of Business Development leads growth for AIS Tactical Systems across U.S. Air Force, Navy, and Space Force customers. This role identifies mission needs, builds senior-level customer relationships, and develops opportunities that align secure communications capabilities with service priorities.
The Director owns a qualified opportunity pipeline from early engagement through capture and proposal submission. Responsibilities include shaping growth strategies, assessing budgets and acquisition plans, developing win themes, and coordinating customer engagement. The Director works closely with program management, engineering, product, contracts, and proposal teams to translate operational requirements into differentiated solutions and executable offers.
The successful candidate brings deep knowledge of Department of Defense missions, acquisition processes, and the competitive landscape. Experience working with at least one of the three service branches—and a demonstrated ability to build relationships across the others— is essential. Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills are required, along with sound judgment in evaluating partnerships, investments, and bid decisions.
This position requires the ability to travel for customer meetings and industry events. U.S. citizenship and eligibility to obtain and maintain a security clearance are required. The Director will be measured by pipeline quality, customer engagement, capture progress, and sustainable growth across assigned accounts and programs
