This position has two primary components: 1) Field sales territory and account assignment for the RR USA company. 2) Business development of Interpump Group (IPG) companies through system selling in North America.
The field sales territory assignments for RR USA will include accounts located in Wisconsin and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Additionally, this position will have corporate responsibility for the distribution partner IFP. For these activities, this position will receive direction from the CEO of RR USA.
The business development through system selling will focus on products manufactured by RR, White Drive and Muncie Power. For these activities, this position will receive direction from and collaborate with the President and CEOs of RR USA and Muncie Power Products.
- Travel to assigned accounts for support of current sales and identification of new opportunities
- Effectively plan activities utilizing Outlook for a minimum rolling 4-6 week advance period
- Assure ongoing learning of RR, White Drive and Muncie Power products to maintain in depth technical knowledge
- Travel with field sales team members of all 3 companies to both develop system selling skills within those teams and identify opportunities at current accounts
- Identify new customers utilizing an IPG system capability approach
- Collaborate with all 3 field sales teams to identify any current distributor presence at a new account. If distribution is present, work with sales leadership team(s) to determine channel strategy for the opportunity.
- Develop system solutions and provide to the sales team(s) for quoting
- Keep abreast of competitor product and capability changes
- Attend trade shows as needed
- Use company software and sales programs (CRM)
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Must be willing to travel up to 75%
Your Experiences & Skills
- Must possess a high school diploma or GED
- Associates or bachelor degree is a plus
- Demonstrated successful field sales in a business to business environment
- Minimum of five (5) years experience working on technical side of hydraulic products
- Working knowledge of mechanical power transmission and hydraulic systems
- Ability to read hydraulic schematics
- Ability to design hydraulic circuits
- Excellent planning and organizational skills
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
- Technically oriented with good mechanical aptitude
- Flexibility to effectively adapt to changing working conditions and job assignments
- Strong interpersonal skills; ability to work well with others
- Ability and willingness to travel as needed, both domestically and internationally
- Project management or product management experience
- Detail oriented
- Experience with Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint
