About ImmunoVec

ImmunoVec is a pioneering biotechnology company developing in vivo cell therapies for autoimmune diseases, cancer, and genetic disorders. Launched from stealth in October 2025 with $40.7 million in funding from ARPA-H’s EMBODY program and additional private capital,

ImmunoVec is pioneering the next generation of programmable cell therapies.

Our proprietary platform combines cell type-specific DNA constructs with targeted non-viral delivery vehicles to enable durable and precise in vivo cell engineering.

We are seeking a relentless and charismatic Director of Business Development to build the partnerships and relationships that will scale our impact.

The Role

We are looking for a highly energized relationship builder and strategic Business Development leader to serve as a key external face for ImmunoVec. As Director of Business Development, you will translate ImmunoVec’s differentiated platform science into compelling partnership opportunities, sharing the company’s story with top-tier pharmaceutical companies, biotech innovators, and the venture capital community. The role requires someone who can operate at both strategic and transactional levels, forging relationships, advancing partnership frameworks, and driving deal flow that positions the company for long-term commercial and clinical success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Partnering: Identify, engage, and cultivate relationships with leading pharma and biotech companies to secure program and platform licensing, co-development, and evaluation agreements for our non-viral DNA delivery and programmable cell type-specific DNA technologies.
  • Company Storytelling: Serve as a highly visible, energetic ambassador for ImmunoVec. Articulate the complex value proposition of our non-viral nanoparticle and programmable DNA technology and platform to technical and financial audiences.
  • Network Expansion: Aggressively expand ImmunoVec’s network within both the life sciences ecosystem and the AI technology sector to uncover novel partnership structures.
  • Deal Execution: Lead the negotiation of term sheets, material transfer agreements, evaluation agreements, and strategic partnerships from initial contact through execution, working closely with the executive and legal teams.
  • Investor Relations Support: Partner with the CEO and CFO to cultivate relationships with current and prospective life science and tech investors to lay the groundwork for future financing rounds.
  • Market Intelligence: Leverage AI tools and deep industry networking to track competitor platforms, emerging cell engineering technologies, and market trends to inform our strategic direction.
Qualifications
  • Experience: 3+ years of business development, corporate strategy, or venture capital experience strictly within the biotechnology, biopharma, or life sciences sector with a proven and exceptional track record of success
  • Domain Expertise: Deep understanding of the cell and gene therapy landscape, particularly, in vivo cell therapies, non-viral delivery systems, CAR-T therapies, or nanoparticle formulation. A strong interest in or experience with biotech applications is highly preferred. Ideally PhD level education, but flexible.
  • Communication: Exceptional, charismatic communication and presentation skills. You must be able to command a room, inspire confidence, and translate complex scientific concepts into compelling business narratives.
  • Execution: Proven experience of sourcing, negotiating, and closing B2B biotech deals, including material transfer agreements, licensing agreements, and research collaborations.
  • Drive: High-energy, entrepreneurial mindset. You are hungry to grow your network and thrive in a fast-paced startup environment.
