Job summary

PBS39 seeks a seasoned Engineering Director to lead the overall technical operation, maintenance, and development of the production and facility in Bethlehem, PA. You will oversee transmission, studio, production, IT integration, and FCC compliance, ensuring high-quality on-air output.

You will manage a team of engineers and contractors, coordinate with vendors, and drive capital projects and disaster recovery planning.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in related engineering field.
SBE certification.
At least seven years of broadcast production experience.
Minimum of three years supervisory experience.
IP networking and broadcast IT infrastructure experience.
Valid driver's license and good driving record.

Responsibilities

Oversee engineering functions: transmission, studio, production, IT integration, FCC compliance and facility systems.
Lead installation and maintenance of audio and video equipment for live events and recordings.
Ensure uninterrupted on-air operation and rapid response to outages.
Coordinate with vendors and MSP provider for equipment support and service.
Develop and manage annual engineering budgets and capital expenditures.
Lead equipment installation and facility upgrades and manage vendor relationships.
