The opportunity

Delaware North is seeking a Director of Branding for our Alternative Lodging Portfolio to join our team in our global headquarters in Buffalo, New York. This Global Brand Director is responsible for the strategic vision, positioning, and performance of the Delaware North Alternative Lodging Brand Portfolio. The Director of Branding role oversees all aspects of brand management, including marketing, operations, product design, guest experience, and brand growth strategies. The role ensures brand consistency across all markets while driving innovation, guest satisfaction, and commercial success.

Pay

Minimum – Anticipated Maximum Base Salary: $132,100 - $178,400 / year

In addition to base salary, we offer an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based, uncapped sales incentive plan. The advertised pay range represents what we believe at the time of this job posting, that we would be willing to pay for this position. Only in special circumstances, where a candidate has education, training, or experience that far exceeds the requirements for the position, would we consider paying higher than the stated range. What will you do?
  • Develop and execute a long-term global brand strategy aligned with corporate objectives
  • Define brand positioning, voice, and identity to ensure consistent messaging and execution across all markets
  • Oversee brand architecture and ensure strategic differentiation within the alternative lodging portfolio
  • Lead integrated marketing strategies, including digital, social, and traditional media, to drive awareness and demand
  • Develop and oversee global brand marketing campaigns that drive awareness, reinforce brand positioning, drive engagement, and support commercial goals
  • Ensure alignment between brand marketing and commercial objectives, including revenue and market share growth
  • Partner with operations teams to define and enhance the brand’s signature guest experience
  • Establish brand standards and ensure consistency across all properties
  • Leverage guest insights and feedback to improve service delivery and brand experience; Monitor brand performance through key metrics such as guest satisfaction, RevPAR, and market share (RevPAR Index)
  • Drive product innovation, including hotel design, room concepts, F and B, and amenities
  • Collaborate with design and development teams to create scalable yet locally relevant experiences
  • Ensure brand sustainability initiatives align with guest expectations and corporate ESG goals
  • Partner with development teams to expand the brand footprint through new properties and conversions
  • Identify market trends and competitive insights to inform brand evolution
More about you
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience at the executive level, able to effectively communicate and influence senior leadership
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience creating and executing the brand and marketing strategy for multiple resorts, lodging, and/or tour/experience companies.
  • Data-driven marketing-focused experience required
  • Ability to work across a matrixed organization with multiple key stakeholders in a collaborative manner
  • Proven ability to manage and develop a team
