Life.Church’s YouVersion platform seeks a Director of Bible Partnerships to lead the Bible Partners program, strengthening and expanding relationships with Bible translation, publishing, and distribution organizations worldwide.

This role guides the partnerships team, shapes strategies, and collaborates across Life.Church to improve partner experiences and advance ministry goals.

Qualifications

Job description

The Director of Bible Partnerships leads YouVersion’s efforts to strengthen and expand relationships with Bible Partners who help make Scripture available to people around the world. This role requires meaningful professional experience working directly with organizations involved in Bible translation, publishing, or distribution.

The Director will lead the Bible Partnerships Team, develop strategies to strengthen and grow these relationships, and collaborate across YouVersion to continually improve how we serve Bible Partners globally.

YouVersion was created by the local church in 2007 and remains a ministry of Life.Church today. At Life.Church, our mission is to lead people to become fully devoted followers of Christ, and YouVersion helps carry that mission around the world through innovative technology and biblically based experiences.

What You'll Do

Oversee Global Bible Relationships

• Steward strategic partnerships that enable the YouVersion family of apps to support the ministrygoals of the hundreds of Bible publishers and Bible Societies around the world.
• Develop and execute strategies to establish and build trusted relationships with Bible Publisherswhose content is not currently available to our app users.
• Provide strategic leadership and direction for Bible Partnerships initiatives that expand Bibleavailability and engagement globally.

Manage Collaboration with Bible Operations

• Collaborate with Product and Engineering Teams to ensure clear prioritization is given tosystems and processes that streamline workflows and improve tools that serve our BiblePartners.
• Set expectations and execute exceptional service for Bible Partners of all sizes and types.
• Create a cadence and process for the evaluation of the health of Bible Partner relationships anddevelop plans to improve partnerships with relational gaps.
• Lead cross-functional collaboration with Product, Engineering, Content, and other keystakeholders to align priorities and improve the Bible Partner experience.

Lead Team Development

• Ensure the growth and development of the Bible Partnerships Team, supporting team memberspractically, professionally, and pastorally.
• Lead, coach, and develop Bible Partnerships Managers, providing clear direction, accountability,and growth opportunities.
• Lead the design and implementation of effective systems to onboard, train, oversee, and developcontractors around the world to support relationships with Bible Partners in other regions.
• Collaborate across all relevant internal teams effectively to advance ministry goals andpartnership initiatives.

Skills Needed to Succeed

• Elite relational skills, strong networking capabilities, and a demonstrated passion for Bibleengagement.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills to clearly explain complicatedprocesses and foster partnerships.
• Ability to self-motivate, make independent decisions, and solve problems with innovation.
• Effective at multi-tasking and time management to meet strict deadlines while remaining flexibleand open to change.
• Effective at process and organizational management to coordinate, structure, and provide vision.
• Strong leadership skills and understanding of developing and guiding others.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• 3-5 years of relevant work experience.
• Professional experience directly partnering with Bible societies, Bible translation organizations, Bible publishers, or similar organizations involved in Bible translation and distribution.
