Qualifications

• Ph.D., M.D., or equivalent in neuroscience, biomedical sciences, or related discipline by hire time.
• Proven ability to secure sustained extramural funding (NIH support preferred).
• Experience building and leading multidisciplinary research programs.
• Commitment to mentorship and diversity in the scientific workforce.

Responsibilities

• Lead a high-impact research portfolio focused on auditory biology and therapeutic innovation.
• Build and direct a multidisciplinary research enterprise integrating biology, engineering, computational biology, and neuroscience.
• Establish flagship programs in hair cell regeneration and auditory brain-machine interfaces.
• Recruit, develop, and mentor faculty, postdoctoral fellows, and research staff.
• Drive extramural funding success through NIH, foundations, and industry programs.
• Foster translation by collaborating with clinicians to align basic discoveries with clinical strategy.
