Job description

Job Title: Director of Athletic Performance for Lacrosse (2501639)

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent)
  • At least 3 years of full-time experience in Athletic Performance and/or Strength and Conditioning at the collegiate level
  • Current certification: C.S.C.S. or S.C.C.C.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree or higher
  • Experience with Division I Athletic Programs
  • Supervisory experience with students, interns, or graduate assistants
  • Experience with athletic performance administrative tasks
  • Current First Aid, CPR, AED certifications
  • Knowledge of NCAA Compliance Rules
  • Experience working with lacrosse in athletic performance or strength and conditioning

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strength, endurance, flexibility, and agility programs for Men’s and Women’s Lacrosse at Division I level
  • Design sport-specific training programs
  • Maintain varsity weight training facilities
  • Coordinate with athletic training staff
  • Assume responsibilities in the absence of the Assistant Director of Athletics for Athletic Performance

Student-Athlete Development:

  • Instruct lacrosse student-athletes on athletic performance
  • Supervise strength, cardiovascular, agility, and wellness programs
  • Schedule training sessions and foster a positive training environment
  • Create customized year-round athletic performance programs
  • Implement evaluation tools to monitor progress and report findings

Administrative Duties:

  • Manage team scheduling, budgets, facility usage, public relations, fundraising, and community service
  • Collaborate with various university support services

GA/Intern Programming:

  • Recruit, train, and oversee GAs, interns, and student employees

Equipment Maintenance:

  • Oversee equipment upkeep and recommend needs

Additional duties as assigned.

Notes:

  • Full-time, exempt position
  • Salary includes additional location pay
  • Evening and weekend work may be required
