Qualifications
Your Role
  • Mentor, grow and attract a team of high performing analysts. Provide oversight and analytical thought leadership to ensure that outcomes are robust, actionable and reliable
  • Shepherd all analytics activities including but not limited to revenue and traffic monitoring, reporting and forecasting, data research, product experimentation and supporting self‑service dashboards for non‑analysts
  • Design, implement and track KPI’s to measure performance against strategic goals, identify emerging trends and provide insights about the drivers of performance
  • Collaborate with Product Development, Marketing and Content teams to use data to identify new opportunities and measure outcomes in an iterative manner
  • Evaluate large and complex data sets with sophisticated quantitative analyses and develop advanced models that translate data into actionable data products that support ongoing business decisions
  • Create business models leveraging internal and 3rd party data sources to support investment decisions
  • Become an expert in leveraging Dictionary.com data sources. Partner with the data engineering team to operationalize metrics and reports that advance the Dictionary.com analytical toolkit and increase the impact of analytics on business outcomes
  • Deliver clear verbal and written explanations of analyses to senior management that translate findings into strategic recommendations
Skills and Qualifications
  • BA/BS in Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field (MBA a plus)
  • Demonstrated success managing a team of analysts in an internet advertising, internet search, e‑commerce or related field
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Expert level knowledge of variety of web reporting technologies & site reporting tools
