Job summary

Salem Academy and College seeks a Director of Alumnae Engagement to implement a comprehensive engagement strategy for 15,000+ alumnae. The role involves planning annual events, Reunion Weekend, and board meetings, plus travel and evening/weekend work as needed.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s Degree and 3–5 years in fundraising or special events, with strong communication and organizational skills. In-person work in Winston-Salem is expected, with collaboration across Institutional Advancement

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• 3–5 years in fundraising, planning and managing volunteers.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects under deadlines.
• Higher education fundraising experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate Reunion Weekend and alumnae events, including regional and virtual programs.
• Lead engagement initiatives to increase alumnae participation and giving.
• Collaborate with Institutional Advancement and Marketing to develop communications and newsletters.
• Manage alumnae boards and serve as staff liaison to ensure goals are met.
• Maintain alumnae social media presence and update webpages and news.
