Job summary

StockX is seeking a senior leader to define and drive the AI/ML engineering strategy in the United States. You will build and mentor a high-performing team of ML engineers and applied scientists, delivering impact across search, recommendations, pricing, and fraud detection.

You will partner with Product, Data Science, and business leads to align investments with customer needs and revenue goals, while guiding architecture and platform evolution.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of hands-on experience in ML engineering or applied science, with production ML systems.
• 7+ years of ML or data science, incl. computer vision, multi-modal learning, search or recommendations.
• 5+ years of engineering leadership, hiring and leading multiple workstreams.
• Experience owning an AI/ML roadmap and delivering measurable outcomes via cross-functional partnerships.
• Strong judgment across model design, architecture, experimentation, and cloud infra.
• Clear communication and ability to influence senior leaders and prioritize effectively.

Responsibilities

• Own the AI/ML engineering strategy and roadmap, aligning technical investments with customer needs and business priorities.
• Build and develop a high-performing team of ML engineers and applied scientists as the organization scales.
• Lead delivery across search, recommendations, pricing, forecasting, fraud detection, and counterfeit detection.
• Set technical direction, guide architecture and model decisions, from classical ML to generative AI.
• Drive rigorous experimentation and A/B testing to measure impact and optimize resource use.
• Scale ML platforms and MLOps to enable fast, reliable, cost-efficient shipping of features.
• Own hiring, performance, resource planning, and investment tradeoffs with senior stakeholders.
