StockX, a Detroit-based technology company connecting buyers and sellers of sneakers, apparel, and collectibles, seeks an accomplished ML leader to shape our ML engineering strategy and grow the team. You will drive delivery across search, recommendations, pricing, and fraud detection, mentor engineers, and partner with product and data science to turn AI advances into tangible marketplace impact.

This role reports to the VP of Engineering and requires 10+ years in ML with leadership experience;

Qualifikationen

• 10+ years hands-on ML engineering or applied science experience.
• 7+ years in ML/data science including CV, multi-modal, search or recommendations.
• 5+ years engineering leadership including hiring and managing multiple workstreams.

Aufgaben

• Own the AI/ML engineering strategy and roadmap aligned to customer needs and business goals.
• Build and scale a high-performing team of ML engineers and applied scientists.
• Lead delivery across search, recommendations, pricing, forecasting, fraud and counterfeit detection.
• Set technical direction, architecture decisions, and ML approach from classical to generative AI.
• Drive experimentation, A/B testing, and resource prioritization.
• Scale ML platforms and MLOps for rapid, reliable, cost-effective shipping.
• Own hiring, performance, and investments; align stakeholders on priorities.
