Job summary

ServiceNow seeks a Director of Engineering to lead the HRSD portfolio's architecture, delivery, and operations. You will guide about 20 engineers, shape technical strategy, and ensure scalable, secure cloud services powering enterprise employee experiences.

You’ll drive AI-enabled development practices and partner with product, design, and leadership to deliver impactful HR solutions at scale.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of software engineering experience with a proven track record of delivering enterprise-scale products and services.
• 5+ years of engineering leadership experience, including experience managing engineering managers and senior technical leaders.
• Demonstrated success driving technical strategy and execution across multiple teams and stakeholders.
• Proven track record of building and leading high-performing engineering organizations.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical strategy, architecture, delivery, and operational excellence of HRSD services within the HR Service Delivery portfolio.
• Build scalable platform capabilities that support employee service management, knowledge experiences, lifecycle workflows, and AI-powered HR solutions.
• Drive development of intelligent, AI-native capabilities to help employees find information and complete tasks.
• Make long-term architectural decisions to improve scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
• Champion AI-assisted engineering practices across the software lifecycle to boost productivity and innovation.
• Recruit, develop, and retain exceptional engineering talent and foster ownership and continuous learning.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, Customer Success, Platform Engineering, and leadership to align priorities and deliver value.
• Build services that meet high security, privacy, compliance, and responsible AI standards.
