The Role
About the role
We're hiring a Director of AI and Enterprise Architecture to be the technical leader on our client engagements, working alongside our forward deployed engineers as they build and deploy agentic AI inside complex enterprise environments. This is a billable, client-facing consulting role.
Large enterprises don't run on one system. They run on decades of layered platforms: ERP backbones like SAP and Oracle, service and workflow platforms like ServiceNow, CRM, HR and finance suites, custom integrations, data warehouses, and the identity and security controls that hold it all together. Agentic AI only creates value when it can work safely inside that landscape: reading the right data, taking the right actions, respecting approvals and access controls, and leaving an audit trail that satisfies IT, security and compliance.
On each engagement, you're the person who understands that landscape. You map the client's systems, translate their business goals into the architecture and requirements agents need, and lead the forward deployed engineers through it as they build, so workflows make it out of pilot and into the client's production environment.
What you'll do
- Lead engagements technically. Serve as the senior technical leader on client engagements, setting architecture direction and guiding the forward deployed engineers who are building alongside you.
- Map the client's system landscape. Quickly get to grips with each client's environment, including ServiceNow, SAP, Oracle, Salesforce, Workday, custom systems and the integrations between them, and turn it into a clear picture the engineering team can build against.
- Translate business processes into agent-ready requirements. Work with client process owners to break down workflows like incident resolution, procure-to-pay, order-to-cash and employee onboarding into the tasks, data, decisions, permissions and human approval points an agent must handle.
- Design how agents connect to systems of record. Define the integration approach for each engagement: APIs, integration platforms, event streams, MCP and tool-calling layers, and data access patterns.
- Get workflows into production. Navigate the client's environments, change management, release processes, testing, monitoring and support handoff so agentic workflows move from pilot to production.
- Clear the path with security and governance. Design identity and access models for agents (service accounts, least privilege, delegated authority), audit logging and controls, and win sign-off from client CISOs, risk teams and auditors.
- Advise senior client stakeholders. Act as a trusted architecture advisor to client CIOs, CTOs, enterprise architects and platform owners, and identify where agentic workflows can expand into new use cases.
- Strengthen the practice. Turn what you learn on engagements into reusable blueprints, integration playbooks and readiness assessments, and share field insight with our product and engineering teams.
What you bring
- 7 to 10 years of experience in enterprise architecture, solution architecture or technical leadership roles within large, complex enterprise software environments.
- Deep hands-on knowledge of at least two major enterprise platforms, such as ServiceNow, SAP (S/4HANA, BTP), Oracle (Fusion, E-Business Suite, OCI), Salesforce or Workday, including their data models, APIs, extension frameworks and upgrade constraints.
- Strong grounding in enterprise integration: REST and SOAP APIs, middleware and iPaaS (MuleSoft, Boomi, SAP Integration Suite or similar), event-driven architecture, and master data management.
- Practical experience with AI or automation in production, such as LLM-based applications, agentic workflows, RPA or intelligent automation, and a clear point of view on where agents fit and where they don't.
- Proven track record moving enterprise systems from design to production, including environment management, SDLC and change control, testing, monitoring and operational support.
- Solid understanding of enterprise security and governance: identity and access management, SSO and OAuth, role-based access, audit, and regulatory requirements such as SOX, GDPR or HIPAA.
