About The Role

The International Institute of Building Enclosure Consultants (IIBEC), headquartered in Raleigh, NC, is seeking a passionate and experienced Director of Advocacy & Industry Relations to lead legislative and industry engagement efforts. This role involves shaping public policy, representing IIBEC to government entities and regulatory bodies, and building relationships with key industry stakeholders to advance our mission. You will work in a dynamic, mission-driven environment where your advocacy and relationship-building skills will create meaningful industry changes.

Position Responsibilities
  • Manage IIBEC’s Legislative and Regulatory Affairs Program.
  • Serve as the primary liaison to federal, state/provincial, and local governments and regulatory agencies.
  • Lead policy development and grassroots advocacy initiatives.
  • Monitor and forecast legislative and regulatory issues at all levels.
  • Draft testimony, official correspondence, articles, and website content.
  • Coordinate Capitol Hill visits and advocacy events.
  • Maintain engagement with industry organizations and issues coalitions (e.g., COFPAES, Roofing Industry Coalition).
  • Serve as staff liaison to the IIBEC Advocacy Committee.
  • Oversee development and submission of policy documents to legislative and regulatory bodies.
